It saddens me very much to have lost a good friend this week. It was always to share the New Beginning Sunday School class and talk about our Garst Genealogy. I remember you typed out our two families and would show me how we were related and did I know this family member when I was growing up. You will be missed greatly and I will try to help Jean when asked. God now as another angel in his court. Love you always and thank you for helping me through things. I like to see you smile. Barry and Stephanie, I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. I am not able to attend the memorial service on Saturday, so I wanted to drop you a short note here. My memories of Wayne are short but vivid. And that is of a man with great integrity and kindness. A Godly man with the stature of a true "Virginia Gentleman." I was pleased to see that you were able to be with him in his last hours. As you remember, I lost my father about 5 years ago. That lost is still felt, but the pain is replaced with great memories of him as my dad, friend and grandfather of my children. I know you have those memory blessings as well. Dear Garst Family , I'm so sorry for your loss. When we lose a loved one in death, we may become overwhelmed by grief. The Bible tells us that Jesus wept when his dear friend Lazarus died. Yet, just minutes later Jesus performed an astounding miracle of raising Lazarus back to life!In doing so, he gave all mankind solid grounds for faith in the amazing promise he had made earlier when he said: “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) May the precious hope of a resurrection to life on a paradise earth comfort you during this time.
